From brand strategy to building a strong identity that could thrive in a digital world.
As part of a broader digital transformation initiative, the brand needed a refresh to create a strong disruptive identity that truly embodies Ecology’s commitment to building a sustainable future with their core purpose front and centre.


Evolving the brand without losing the trust.
While the brand needed to embrace a more daring and disruptive identity, they needed to maintain their trusted financial institution status. The challenge therefore was to find the right balance between being bold and innovative while maintaining the trust, security and stability that members expect from a building society.


New perspectives.
Central to this refresh was the introduction of a new logo featuring the letter ‘e’ within a window device, symbolising transparency and new perspectives. The design incorporates elements representing a sunrise and a seed, highlighting themes of new beginnings and growth.



Building a brand that puts people and the planet first.
With an ethos rooted in courage and action. They are driven by a deep, authentic purpose to challenge how we live on this planet, giving individuals the power to thrive and create a better future for all, using finance as a tool to support this. This sentiment to empower real people was a focal point to creating an authentic brand that feels genuine and relatable.



Evolving the brand without losing the trust.
Complementing the logo, the brand adopted the Peachi typeface for its approachable yet sophisticated feel and a color palette that underscores its environmental values.






A hand-drawn illustration style and authentic imagery were employed to convey simplicity and personal connection.
These visual elements, combined with smooth, nature-inspired animations, coalesce to present a cohesive identity that aligns with Ecology’s mission of fostering sustainable communities and ethical finance.
