New NeonPlus® website shines bright
Leeds-based creative agency, Tall, has created an illuminating new website to reiginite Morley-based sign manufacturer, The Sign Group’s speciliast ‘NeonPlus®’ brand as the business undergoes an unprecedented period of expansion.
Tall were brought in as digital specialists by the company’s incumbant media agency as part of a brand overhaul, working alongside the SEO and marketing team to get under the skin of the client and create a brand new website to showcase its innovative NeonPlus® products; a niche range of LED signs which offer a brighter, more versatile and cheaper alternative to real Neon. The site also positions the company as industry leaders as it looks to grow its client-base across national and international markets.
Tall used their proven approach, including an in-depth workshop with The Sign Group and their media agency, to identify target clients for NeonPlus® and how to arm the website with the right digital tools to sell the product to those audiences.
The new site offers visitors the opportunity to view each individual product in 3D, capturing the intensity of the sign illumination and allowing the user to customise the product’s colour, lighting options and rotate through a 270° angle. Tall also employed html5 animations and video to create more interactive content, and improved user-experience across desktop, mobile and tablet devices. The site also includes a blog which showcases new NeonPlus® products being developed in the company’s ‘Lab’; further positioning the business as innovators in their field.

The company’s media agency realised that to communicate the USPs of NeonPlus® in an immediate and visual way, it would require a truly bespoke website which employed a whole range of digital tools to deliver results for both the client and the marketing team.
“We regularly work with SEO and media agencies who may not have either the capacity or the design and technical skills in-house, but who can benefit from the combined expertise of our team and our network of trusted partners and freelancers. The resulting NeonPlus® website offers a user-friendly, effective platform that will hopefully see an increase in traffic and ultimately, sales.”
The Sign Group developed its game-chaging NeonPlus® range in response to upcoming restrictions on the amount of Mercury used in Neon products from 2020. The new solution – a safe, robust and long-lasting LED product which is one hundred per cent made in Britain and reduces running costs by up to 80 per cent in comparison with traditional neon – gave the company a niche offering which is now in demand all over the globe.
Established in 2008 by Graeme Hoole and Anthony Lowe, The Sign Group now has a 23 strong team and is set to expand from its existing premises in a 5,000 sq.ft space in Morley, to an 11,000 sq. ft unit in Leeds city centre near Elland Road.
