Roll out the carpet for Dean Clough’s new website

Once the world’s largest carpet factory, Dean Clough has now been faithfully restored to become a leading commercial and cultural complex in the north – Halifax, to be exact, the old stamping ground of Tall’s Creative Director Guy Utley, So, when asked to create a new website for the complex, we jumped at the chance!
Quite a challenge. Dean Clough has more than 150 businesses ranging from individual or partnership ‘start-ups’ to companies with over 1,000 employees, restaurants, retail outlets and a theatre. It also boasts one of the largest galleries in the UK, adding to the centre’s must-see credentials, which currently attract at least 60,000 visitors each year.
With such diversity in mind, Dean Clough approached Tall to develop their digital presence, helping the complex to engage with current and potential tenants as well as shoppers and visitors to the on-site leisure facilities. One vital feature of the website is an update ‘finder’ to help mobile users chart their way around the complex.

Shows, exhibitions, sales and promotions – at Dean Clough, there’s always something going on, so the new mobile-friendly website is fully content-managed to reflect these events, providing a regular showcase for tenants and increasing footfall.
