Room to Grow (RTG) had been trading since 1996. The website had originally been used in conjunction with a retail store but that closed and in March 2011 they went exclusively online.

As a business they knew that they now needed to develop the website to support their online only business plan.

OUR CHALLENGE

To create a website that reflected the RTG proposition and would appeal to their target audience.

To develop a user interface that ensured that RTG was on a level playing field with their competitors.

To enhance the user experience so that customers spent time on the site, engaged with the brand and then ultimately bought.

Our Approach

CRITIQUE

In the first instance Tall agreed to critique the existing site and identified several functionality issues that would have had a significant impact on site conversion levels.

ENGAGE

We also believed that the brand at the time did not engage the site visitor or reflect the products and service of RTG, particularly when it was compared to its competitors in the marketplace.

THE JOURNEY

It's not always about just redesigning a site, it is just as important to get the customer journey right and the site at the time caused confusion.

AUDIENCE

We also highlighted to RTG that to exist as a successful online retailer and to attract and appeal to the identified audiences they needed to review overall marketing strategy to ensure maximum exposure for the site.

A simple, but effective critique process identifies confusion in the customer journey that results in the high drop off rates and non-conversion of traffic.

RESPONSIVE

The new Room to Grow site was launched sporting improved search, product filters and a responsive build that offers a better experience for the ever increasing number of mobile visitors to the Room to Grow site.

We looked at improving the mobile user journey with particular focus on allowing customers to easily configure products and complete their order.

THE RESULTS

Tall created a brand that inspired visitors

The site construct was developed to make the experience with RTG enjoyable, a site that you want to explore and where buying is easy. It was built using a CMS system that allows RTG to be in control of edits resulting in the site always looking fresh, content relevant and products added and deleted efficiently.

The whole brand experience came together once they entered the site with aspirational imagery that was commissioned by Tall using Sarah Mason Photography and a look and feel that would appeal to the target audience and reflect the high quality furniture sold.

The website was supported with search marketing led by Visiblis, social media, and PR Strategy that we developed in conjunction with the site relaunch to ensure maximum exposure included:
